Student Opportunities to Interact with our Legislators

Alternative Education Legislative Day
Tuesday February 24th 2009
10AM to 2PM
State Capitol

Bring your students to the State Capitol on February 24th. The rotunda has been reserved for displays of alternative schools and programs. Bring some information displays/pictures/student work/success stories. Contact your area legislators to have time to speak to them on the 24th/spend time in the legislature/ tour the capitol/other. It is day for student exposure to our government at work. It is a day to have students and professionals to bring out the importance of alternatives in education. Give our legislators a chance to hear from you.

The IAAE will have information for teachers and administrators to share with legislators to build support for alternatives in education. The information will be available upon arrival at the capitol building.
