[Maillist] Mandala--Call for Submissions

Northeast Alternative Teachers, NEAT, together with the Iowa Association of
Alternative Education, are calling for submissions for the seventh edition of
The Mandala, an art and literary collection of work by state alternative high
school students.
 
Submissions of original art may be in the following formats:
•	Poetry
•	Narratives
•	Pencil and (black) ink illustrations, 5" x 7" and smaller
•	Photography (black and white), 5" x 7" and smaller
•	Cover Art, a mandala, reflecting the title, for consideration for the cover,
5" x 8" and smaller.  Cover submissions should include a paragraph on the
personal meaning of the student’s original mandala.

Include student name, instructor name, school name and address.  Please mail
original artwork to the address below.  Electronic submission of
word-processed written work is preferred.  Email:  brownd at nicc.edu.
 
Entry deadline is Friday, December 19, 2008.
 
Copies of the first six editions of The Mandala are available for viewing
through the "Student Publications" link on the IAAE web site.  See
http://www.iaae.net.
